Privacy & data choices

Updated 15 October 2026.

Your choices on this device

Community sharing starts off. Games and local history work without it. You can change this choice at any time.

What stays on your device

Your personal game history, nickname, privacy choice and private attempt identifiers use browser storage. They provide the profile and settings you ask to use. There are no advertising cookies, advertising pixels or embedded social tracking SDKs. The staging site’s access cookie is necessary to protect the test environment. Creating or joining a friend challenge also sets a necessary, secure, HttpOnly cookie for up to one year. It recognizes this browser as the same player; the server stores its hash, never an email or account password.

What community sharing sends

If you opt in, the service stores a random attempt ID, game edition, round scores, normalized answer errors, predicted ranks and submission timestamps. We use these pseudonymous records to calculate shared distributions and comparisons. Your device nickname is not sent to the community benchmark. Ranks are withheld until there are 30 other comparable attempts; your own attempt is excluded.

Friend challenges and shared results

Creating a challenge saves its name, settings and exact tasks. New challenges remain private to the creator’s browser until the creator finishes all ten tasks. Then anyone with the unlisted link can view the scoreboard and join. Finishing publishes your chosen name, best and latest scores, round scores, attempt counts and recent attempt times. A blank name gets a stable player label. Private predictions, answers and other history are not exposed. Replays improve your best score in this room; they do not enter the global benchmark. Another browser or cleared cookies creates a new player. A nickname alone cannot recover or take over a player. Sharing a normal result publishes only that one completed result. The link and any downloaded image can be copied by their recipients.

Storage and service providers

Cloudflare hosts the application and database and processes network and technical data needed to provide the service. Hosting logs may include network identifiers. We keep contributed records and immutable challenge definitions until removal or service closure. Your browser keeps the latest 100 ordinary results and 100 friend results. Public result links remain until removed. Social platforms receive a link or image only when you choose to share through them.

Control, access and removal

You can stop future community uploads above, clear local history in your profile, or remove contributions using this device’s private identifiers. Stopping sharing alone does not remove earlier contributions. Clearing identifiers can prevent this device from locating older records. Removing friend challenge contributions also requires the original browser’s player cookie. Consent withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal data, and complain to your local data protection authority.
